I bought a new Ford Escape 2014 on Feb 18, 2014. Only after
one week on Feb 27, the fuel inject system problem almost made an accident on
highway. The engine lost power and had constant vibrations; meanwhile, gas was
smelt full into the vehicle.
I understood it is an unusual problem for a brand new Ford
Escape 2014. However, I cannot imagine the consequence if crash happens due to
engine power lose or fire triggered due to broken fuel injection system.
I understood this issue may be only small number of
percentage in all Ford Escape 2014 vehicles. However, it is 100% disaster for a
family whenever it happens. Not only that, it could also be a disaster for
other drivers or pedestrians. They all have their family as well.
I understood what the meaning of unusual is, but I am really
curious that two unusual problems coexist on one brand new vehicle: one is fuel
injection system issue, another one is power tailgate issue.
I understood it is not fair to expect Ford Escape to be
perfect because it has history of several recalls in 2013. I can tolerant the
problem of tailgate as long as it is not opened during driving, but I
absolutely not tolerant the issue of SAFETY and RELIABILITY.
I also understood as a father and husband, I have to
consider the safety of my family when I give them rides. As a driver, I must be
responsible for other people’s safety when I am operating a vehicle.
